Who We Are

Fox River is a leading U.S. manufacturer of outdoor, sport and lifestyle performance socks since 1900. Fox River is privately owned and operates a hosiery mill in Osage, Iowa at the heart of the country. The central location of the mill helps Fox River offer quick, convenient deliveries across the country and around the globe. Fox River’s premium and performance socks are manufactured at its Iowa headquarters by 200 of the friendliest, hard-working folks you’ll ever meet. Fox River socks have been made in the USA since 1900 utilizing US and imported yarns. We're committed to remaining American-made.

Our Commitment

The Fox River brand is known for its commitment to innovative sock construction and continuous attention to trends in the marketplace. Notably, the brand introduced its signature Wick Dry® moisture management technology in 1985 to help keep feet dry and reduce the moisture build-up that can lead to hot spots and blisters. In 2000, Fox River launched the industry’s first women’s specific-fit performance sock line with smaller toe boxes and heel pockets to better fit women’s feet.

Best liners ever.

These are the best liners I’ve used. They’re thin, wick away moisture, and hold up well after years of use.

Excellent layer for Alaska trip

Just back from kayaking and zodiac trips on water and these liners made a perfect extra layer under regular boot socks. No blisters:just warmth.

Love ‘em

These socks are so comfy and give you extra support on the bottom of your feet.

The heavier, mid-weight Style #6074 have been my ONLY socks for boot use, in temps ranging from 30-95F. While those wear like iron, I wanted something that would work with office oxfords. I couldn't bear to go with anything other than these, the sibling to the #6074's. So far, so good. Same comfortable napp (a bit shorter, though), same quick dry after washing. And same great foot feel at the end of the day, something I never got with wool.

Good looking!

Glad for the extra padding in the heal and toe area. Bought for my college son who is hard on socks and wears through the toes mostly. Have been buying Foxriver for him. Extra money, but made in Iowa and quality to boot! Who can beat that!!
