These socks are quite thick compared to Heritage and Westerner. At first, I expected to like these a lot, they feel like a really padded, cushiony sock. Upon first use, I noticed they do feel damp even though they're totally dry, I assume due to the particular blend of synthetic fibers. They seemed decent enough after a shift on my feet as a heavier guy working in a machine shop in AL. However, once I took them off I discovered they are very micro- fiber like inside and they attach to rough feet/ heels like industrial velcro. I washed them inside out and they fluffed back up, wore them again and the same thing occurred. It won't stop me from using them, but it's weird in addition to the slight damp feeling of the sock. I highly recommend Heritage, or Westerner if you prefer synthetic blend. Both of those are thinner, but better for rough, over- worked feet in boots. I believe these would be better for different feet; they're really quite nice socks.
Snug fit but easy to put on!
The quality and quickness of getting them are top notch. Very soft and comfortable sock. That being said they did not fit very well. Loose around the ankle and foot but were not long enough. They were over the calf socks but they would not reach over the calf without really stretching them and that would cause them to slide down all the time. I would have to pull them back up from sliding down to my ankle every 5-10 minutes.
I have never been disappointed in any of the socks I have bought from Fox River. The socks are comfortable and are well worth the cost.
Comfy, fit nice, I bought size L and wear size 10 shoes. Perfect weight to wear with winter shoes and jeans.
